Who's Running for the Woodlands Township?

As I reflect on my life and experiences, I am reminded of the incredible community that has welcomed me with open arms. My wife and I are fortunate to have an amazing group of friends who bring so much joy to our lives. The Woodlands is a special place that feels like a little piece of paradise within God's broader beautiful creation.

I've had the privilege of exploring the township's nature preserves, fishing in its ponds, and enjoying the trails through biking, walking, or running. It's not uncommon for me to be found outside, connecting with nature and recharging my batteries. My educational background includes a Bachelor's degree, Master's degrees in two fields, as well as Doctoral degrees in Education and Divinity.

As I look back on our journey, my family and I moved to The Woodlands in 2013 after being appointed as an associate pastor at The Woodlands United Methodist Church. Prior to that, I spent seven years in education, serving as a US History teacher, coach, and department chair. After answering the call to full-time ministry, I joined the staff at Christ United Methodist Church in Sugar Land.

I didn't grow up in Texas, but I've fallen deeply in love with this great state! In 2001, I made the move to begin my career in education. What brought me to The Woodlands initially was a desire to serve and make a positive impact on the community. As a lead Pastor at Rose Hill Methodist Church and Director on The Woodlands Township Board of Directors (Position 2), I am proud to be able to continue serving this amazing community.

In conclusion, my passion for living and working in The Woodlands stems from a deep sense of connection and belonging. It's an honor to be able to call this place home, and I look forward to continuing to serve the community with humility and gratitude.
